Kobo rejects Pubcoder CSS

I am uploading ebooks to Kobo and have hit a snag with books getting rejected for validation due to CSS code in my Pubcoder exported file. They got back with me and said it is due to this lines in the CSS.

div#SCNavigationLeft:hover { background-image: url(../images/scnavigation-prev-btn-hover.png); }
div#SCNavigationLeft:active { background-image: url(../images/scnavigation-prev-btn-active.png); }

Can I take these out and not break the pub file? Is there any other code to remove elsewhere that is inked to these lines? What do these styles pertain to?

yes proceed by removing them, epub shouldn't break.
Thanks for the heads up, noted that Kobo does not accept this.

Now they say remove all the pseudo classes of :active and :hover. I did that and will let you know if it works. Removing those two lines did not help it avoid rejection. They said they were working on a fix but no time is known when. ePubs are valid.

I spoke too soon. After stripping the offending CSS from the epub, and republishing, they reject it for the same reasons and have yet to respond to any emails for help, despite offering it in their rejection notices. What's odd is that three books done in Pubcoder with the same pseudo classes in them were accepted as is and are on sale. It makes no sense.

Update: They got back to me. Here's their reply,

Unfortunately, the ePubs are still not able to process in our system due to the '.ui-button:hover' in the CSS.

For example in 9798996819126, these appear to be in the following CSS files:
jquery-ui.min.css
jquery-ui.structure.min.css
jquery-ui.theme.min.css

Our Development is still working on a fix, but we do not have an estimated date for when it will be fixed. I have asked for additional investigation regarding the books you mentioned that were published with those lines included in the CSS.
Can I remove those and still validate?

Do I need the jQuery css sheets for a simple image FXL epub?

I removed the css sheets and the book still works but I have to edit the manifest and get rid of the links in BB edit to avoid the three errors I got. I think I can get things to work with a little effort. If you have any tips I would appreciate it.

Got the Kobo books done, waiting for the results. Now I am removing the SC Animation code for Google books which they want me to remove even though it does not affect the way the books display, although I can't test them yet as my new account is in review. Sellers are a picky lot!

Kobo books are going live. I did it. It would be a nice function in the future to add the ability to not include all those CSS sheets you don't need before exporting and linking them up.
