Hi Angelo,
I just tried it out in the final release of PubCoder 5.0.
Publishing an XPUB now goes beyond "Generating Cover..." but then it stops at "Generating thumbnail 15 of 18".
I will write to support and include a wetransfer link to the file.
It seems I have just succeeded to make my XPUB work in PubReader on iOS 17.0.3. My code was set to play a Howler sound sprite on load. I changed it so that it now plays a Howler HTML5 sound on load and then when that sound has ended the sound sprite plays 'on ('end')'. Then it all works from there.
Fingers crossed that it will keep working.
I experienced something strange today when I opened two older Pubcoder files ( 1 and 2 years old)
I opened them both in Pubcoder 4.3.5 and in Pubcoder 5.0.3 BETA on my iMac with M1 chip.
When I tried to publish an XPUB file Pubcoder stopped at “Generating Cover…” and never got further.
It also happened when I tried to publish as HTML5.
Then I went to my old Mac with Pubcoder 4.0.2 and it worked perfectly on my other Mac with Intel chip.
Could it have anything to do with the M1 chip?
Let me add that I have just tested my XPUB in PubReader on my Android tablet with Android version 9 - it works perfectly. So the problem can be narrowed down to PubReader on iOS 17.0.3.
I am working on an XPUB in Pubcoder. It works on iOS 12.5.7. But on iOS 17.0.3 it behaves strangely in PubReader. Some times it does work but the next time I open it it doesn't work with sound. (I am using Howler.js for playing audio) I have made an HTML5 webapp and put it online. The webapp works perfectly in Safari also on iOS 17.0.3.
Can it be an issue in PubReader on iOS 17.0.3? Are you at Pubcoder aware of issues with PubReader on iOS 17.0.3?
Thanks, Angelo - yes, it works with the beta:)
When I submit an iOS app with Transporter I get the following error warning:
"SDK version issue. This app was built with the iOS 15.2 SDK. All iOS and iPadOS apps submitted to the App Store must be built with the iOS 16.1 SDK or later, included in Xcode 14.1 or later."
But, I do have Xcode 14.3 with iOS 16.4 SDK build in.
Will I have to do something in Pubcoder - or is the problem related to my Xcode?
Thanks
John
I am using the new "Double tap" action on an object.
It works perfectly on my Mac with double-click in Pubcoder Preview.
But, on my iPad in PubReader it doesn't work consistently.
I have to do multiple double-taps in a row before it works.
Has anyone experienced the same problem?
I now see that the test results say: "Issue: We found an issue that will prevent your app from being published in the Amazon App Store".
So, it is a big problem indeed - what are the options for not including the Google reference in the .APK?
I am testing an Android .apk at Amazon App Store and get the following warning:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Caution : Google Cloud Messaging Detected
Your APK includes a manifest declaration or an API invocation referring to Google Cloud Messaging.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have published as an Ad Hoc file according to what the Pubcoder Docs say: "Use Ad Hoc distribution to build an .apk file that you can distribute manually or submit to other app stores "
1: I wonder if the reference to Google is a problem at Amazon?
2: Should the .APK for Amazon still contain the Google Play License Key and Signing?
