No match of SHA1 Code in the update apk

  1. 3 years ago

    Hi,
I have lost my matching keystore appkey for an android apk that I published under the name »kafkaforkids« and when I upload an update apk to google developer I get the message that the SHA1 code does not match the original one. the correct SHA1 code is also displayed with the error message.
I have two questions about this:

    • Can I somehow re-insert the original SHA1 code - in Pubcoder Preferences or in another way in the finished apk?
    • If this is not possible, if I publish the app with a new package name as a new app, as indicated in the Pucoder, I can use or retain the old app name »kafkaforkids«.

Many thanks and best regards, Axel Grube, onomato verlag

    Hello Alex,
sorry but this is a security measure from Google. You need to store and backup your keychain files safely, otherwise you will not be able to update the app on Google Play Store.
What you can do is creating a brand new app on the store.
