Google Play: Update your app to target Android 14

    I just got this email from google re. my app:

    Update your target API level by 31 August 2024 to release updates to your app
    We've detected that your app is targeting an old version of Android. To provide users with a safe and secure experience, Google Play requires all apps to meet target API level requirements.
    From 31 August 2024, if your target API level is not within one year of the latest Android release, you won't be able to update your app.

    Does it require a new build for pubCoder? Please advise,

    Of course, that has only to do with new uploads to google play store: app version already in the store will continue to work without issues

    PubCoder 5.0.8 has been released today and exports Android apps that target API 34.

    Hi,
    A year later, I got this Policy warnings for all my apps:
    App must target Android 15 (API level 35) or higher
    Fix by 31 Aug

    Hi Ranco,
    yeah every year Google steps up the API requirement, every year we released an update some time before before or just after the deadline. We plan to do the same this year.
